I have never ever seen jellyfish at East Beach before, so this was a rare occurrence!  So rare, I thought we should celebrate, and I bought a cookiecake for the occasion.

Unfortunately, for some reason, the store wrote “Yappy Barkday” on the cookiecake.

This joke is already wearing thin, and you just started it.

But FORTUNATELY, it all worked out in the end, because not only is today Random Jellyfish Day, it’s also

Can you believe it?  I survived a whole year with The Devil Giraffe!!  He survived a whole year of underpants-eating and general naughtiness without me killing him!  He and all the Peanuts were born one year ago today!

By 4 weeks, “Spike” was already posing for the camera, even while he was sleeping!!

And here we are, a year later, and I have the awesomest, smartest, most enthusiastic, energetic (tallest) and handsomest dog in the bunch!

    Oh my, he’s been training since he was 3 months old :) Foundation stuff – but he had his first Big Boy class last week and he did AWESOME. Ran a whole jumpers course clean as a whistle – a bit wide in the turns, not at full speed yet, but clean! He’s doing great!

  6. Food Lady, I just have to say that my life would not be the same without you. You are quite possibly the funniest person I “know”, with the awesomest dogs (I mean, besides mine of course) and the maddest photography skillz. I love the Dexter retrospective, and thank you for making me laugh hard nearly every time I stop by! BTW, the ‘general merriment’ shot is perfect! What a goofball the birthday boy is!

  9. Yappy Barkday, Dexter! I love how your wee little nose started out all pink/white and slowly got dotted, then filled in totally to black magnificence! Is that from sticking it where it doesn’t belong?

  16. Yappy Barkday Dexter, wow he sure grew up didn’t he, awesome dog!!!

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a dog to eat, i just rescued a wonderful 10 month old border collie male, intact, sweetest dog, but he has been so starved for so long he doesn’t eat and when he does it is only if i hand feed him and even then it isn’t that much. I am currently feeding him puppy food mixed with wet canned.
