Okay, not really. That’s not even Tweed in the first photo (but couldn’t it almost be??) … that’s “Dee” a 10 year old Australian Shepherd mix up for adoption in Washington State. Please adopt her so I don’t have to!
Am I iz bein’ displaced foster dog?
Even if I’m looking at you all adoring-like? Okay, looking at the COOKIE all adoring like?
Okay, I admit it. I don’t even really have anything to post about. But we were out the other evening for a before-bed walk on the property, and the sun was setting, and everything was so gold and beautiful that I snapped some photos.
What *IS* that thing in the sky?
I think the more pressing question, Piper, is “what is that thing on your face?”
Poor dolly. If it stings, bites, is venomous or poisonous, can scratch, cut, tear or poke … it goes after Piper. Something bit her right under the eye and it swelled all up like a gold ball. A benadryl took care of it, thankfully.
My golden boy (NOT for adoption), in the golden light of the setting sun:
The WooTWoo were also kind enough to pose for a few seconds, before they left on a coyote hunting mission.
Spring was quick to follow. They are teaching her very bad habits!
*sigh* Always blaming the WooTWoo.
Are you going to stop talking now, and throw something?
Oh summer and sunshine, how we’ve missed you!
I know, this whole entry was kind of pointless, except for the part where I tried to shill the girlie Tweed-a-like (again, please adopt her ASAP so I don’t).
For your patience, I’ll throw in a bonus chicken.

I love this post, even if you felt there was no reason for it. And that hound is a Tweedleganger. Like a doppleganger, only….well, like Tweed. Glad to see you’re getting some gorgeous sun–we managed a bit of that ourselves here on the east coast of Canada. That doesn’t happen too often, so I’m just trying to enjoy the sensation of sun on my face.

If only I were younger, I’d snatch up Spring in a heartbeat! Thanks for the great pics!

I love posts about “nothing” and I love your shots even more. Twooie looks evil. Just saying lol. Love them all though. Hope someone adopts the Tweed-Look-A-Like.

You take such gorgeous portraits of chickens, of all things (dogs, too, it goes without saying. But you make chickens look both handsome and otherworldly.)
Love the golden light.

The photos are terrific and the photo of the WooTwoo is one of the best. :) Love, love the photos. Thanks for sharing them.
Actually the last one with Tweed, Pipper and Woo is also fantastic.
Take care of yourself and best wishes. :)

I emailed that shelter about Dee. She’s not too far from me; I can go see her if anyone would like a better assessment.

so worth it for tweed’s whuuuuut face alone.

lovely photos and writing, as usual! the one of the great hunters before they set off on a coyote expedition might be a calendar photo someday…..they are quite the pair, aren’t they!!
the sunlight in the photos is lovely – flattering to all the dogs.

The shelter emailed me back (I’m surprised!) and it was mostly a standard form letter. “No, we don’t hold dogs, please bring the whole family to adopt…” etc. It did say she’s also mildly arthritic, didn’t say whether she’s ok with other dogs. Adoption fee is $75, really low for the area.
If anyone out of area would like a better assessment, post here, I’ll check back. Maybe the PNWbcrescue can pull her?
I’d love a second dog, but my apt’s pet deposit is ridiculous.
I think I may head down just to visit.

Oh I think Tweed needs a girlfriend for his old age. You have Woo and Twoo so you already have a twinsie thing going on….c’mon, you know you want to.
