All The Single Ladies

He also has brand new stitches!

Le sigh.

We took out his stitches at work last week and the Tech said “looks great, healing nicely!” And Wootie had a big long stretch and his giant gaping wound went ZIIIIIIPPPPPP! and popped open again.  back to the vet we hied for another set of stitches.

He is once again sporting the Blue Jester Collar of Dorkness.  He doesn’t let it stop him from having fun though!

I have this theory that restricting his exercise last time he was stitched is what caused it to pop open again.  Because the wound is right behind his shoulder, it stretches every time he takes a big step and keeping him mostly stationary didn’t allow for any stretching in the healing process.  It’s doing a lot better this time around, now that I’ve just let him be himself.

Shut YOUR hole and throw my Squirrel again!

The dogs were excited to have a whole day off with The Food Lady today, because lately it has not happened often.  I work more than I don’t – there is so much to be done at the shelter!  It’s a never ending parade of stray dogs and cats and rabbits and guinea pigs and peacocks and pigeons and budgies and .. well, it’s endless.  There is so much to do that I often find myself there more than I should be, and certainly more than the dogs want me to be.  Doesn’t leave a lot of time for blogging, or anything else really.

But this morning we dedicated a whole hour to flying squirrel in the sun.  And Tweed tried to hog the squirrel for the entire hour.

We played so much we killed Spring!

We even practiced a little agility.

I even managed to tire out the DeMo!

And then I had to go run all the errands I could squeeze into a day, because I am back to work tomorrow, for 15 days in a row.

More *le sigh*

I promise to try and spend some of that time thinking of clever things to post!  Right now, I just don’t have the time or the energy to amuse anyone, I’m just dragging my old sorry self from bed to work and back again.
